If you do not want the users to save anything at all to the desktop, you
could configure permissions to their local profile desktop folder to be only
read/list/execute. That could also be done with a Group Policy logon script
using the cacls command if you have a large number of users you want to
apply it to. Another possibility is to use a logon/logoff script to copy and
then delete certain file extensions from their desktop folder to the folder
where the files are supposed to be. You would want to test that one out
first to make sure that no data is lost. --- Steve
