You don't have group Policy on any XP machine (Home or Pro). Group Policy
exists in a domain Controller in an Active Directory domain. On XP Pro (and
I assume Home) you only have Local Policy.

Open the Event viewer where you saw this error and click on the link given
with it to search for causes. It may take a little detective work, the
problem doesn't always jump out at you.
