Darren,

Thanks so much for your help and your great GPO logging ADM file!

Background:

I created "My Music" and "My Pictures" folders at the root of the user
profile on BOTH the local machine and the roaming profile server location.

Here's the relevant info from userenv.log:

USERENV(198.844) 08:25:26:518 PolicyChangedThread: UpdateUser failed
with 1008.
USERENV(198.19c) 08:27:02:256 ReconcileFile: Unable to open temporary file
USERENV(198.5e8) 08:29:14:225 PolicyChangedThread: UpdateUser failed
with 1008.

Lines 1 and 2 were logged during log off. I watched the local profile
folder from a remote machine during that time and the folders were NOT
removed. They WERE removed from the roaming profile (server) location,
however.

Line 3 was logged during log on. At that time, the folders were deleted
from the local profile.

Does this shed any light onto the subject?

Thanks,
Jim
