Hi Gerald

I assume this user account resides in an OU to which the policy is applied.
Either temporarily move the user account out of that OU or disable the user
configuration portion of the GPO ...

1. Open AD Users and Computers.

2. Navigate to the OU to which the GPO is linked.

3. Open the Properties dialog for that OU and select the Group Policy tab.

4. Select the GPO from the list of GPO's and click the Properties button.

5. Check "Disable user configuration settings."

6. Log in as the user and do what you need to do.

7. Reverse the setting in step 5.
