I have tried all the actions you suggested to no avail. I can
access the path directly, the DFS is running, DNS settings are
correct.
In google searches and MSKB articles, I can find no articles that
have this line in the event log entry:
(The format of the specified network name is invalid.)
They all talk about Access Denied errors instead.
