    I am out of the office so am unable to check;

    does the folder get created at user account creation or at first logon, I am asking as I have 800 accounts to transfer from an NT system which I am also renaming the user accounts I need to get the old home data into their my documents before they logon.

    thanks

    Dave

      Check KB274443, How to dynamically create secure redirected folders by using Folder Redirection in Windows 2000. That applies to W2k3 as well.

        Hi,

        I am still a novice on AD and GPO's.

        I would like to redirect the clients 'My Documents'
        folder to a server share.

        I am running w2003 server and XP Clients.
        I had a look at various documentations and what appears
        to be a straightforward procedure has kept me puzzeled
        now for the last days. When loggin in as a domain user
        the redirect simply does not work.
        I would be very greatful for any hints and tips on how I
        can go about to solve that problem.

        cheers
        michael
