Hi Marcus,

Thank you for the update. You may try the following method.

On your domain controller, set the System Policy, and perform the following
steps.

1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and
then click "Active Directory Users and Computers".

2. Right-click Domain, and then click Properties.

3. Click the Group Policies tab, click Default Domain Policy, and then
   click Edit.

4. When Group Policies starts, click User Configuration, click Windows
Settings, and then click Folder Redirection.

5. Right-click Application Data, and then click Properties.

6. You can now configure the location of the Application Data folder.
In the Settings box, click "Advanced - Specify the location for various
user groups", and then click Add.

7. Click Browse next to the Security Group Membership box, and then
select a group from the domain list.

8. Click Target Location Folder, and then use a UNC path to the
location where you want the Application Data folder to be located.

9. Click Apply, click OK, and then quit Group Policy Editor.

10. Open the UNC path specified in the step 8.

11. Ensure that you can view hidden files, and then open the Microsoft
directory.

12. Create a folder called Msdaipp.

On your client computer in this domain, perform the following steps:

1. Log on as the user who must receive this policy.

2. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32), and then verify that the following key
is changed:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders] "AppData"
This key must point to the location in the preceding step 8. If not, you
made an error in the preceding steps.

3. Quit Registry Editor (Regedt32), and then open the My Network Places
folder.

4. Click Add Network Place.

5. In the box type a location of a web server.

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Jack Wang, MCSE 2000/2003, MCSA 2000/2003, MCDBA, MCSD

| Hi!
|
| I think I have located the source of the problem.
| The following article confirms my problem, Q269681. It seems to be related
| to our policy that redirects the folder "Application data" with an
UNC-path.
|
| I have disabled the redirected folder policy for a specific user and are
now
| able to launch a "web folder" from the web page in our TS-enviroment.
|
| Is there a way to get around this? We need the web folder-function and
also
| need to redirect "Application data" in our policy.
|
| Regards
| Marcus Torstensson
