I'm interested to know how others are using Ghost in conjuction with
assigning software with GPO. In the past, building an image consisted of
installing the standard apps, tweaking the desktop and start menu to make it
look how I wanted then copying that profile to the default user, sysprepping
and done. I'd like to take advantage of GPO and having the flexibility to be
able to manage these applications. I've been building MSI's (with limited
success) using Wininstall LE so I can assign the software using GPO. My real
question is if after I assign all the software (including policy settings)
and it gets applied, if I then make an image of it using Ghost, will these
still act as managed installs? (This is WinXP/OfficeXP btw) Copying any
standard user to the default profile doesn't seem to be an option in this
scenario. I appreciate any and all recommendations or suggestions.
Kind regards,
Steve Jones
