    Hello Maurice ,

    It sounds as if NetBIOS traffic has been blocked. If this was done by the
    scripts within ISA then you probably want to post to the following newsgroup
    "microsoft.public.isaserver".

    Here are some basics steps you can check on the ISA/DC machine if it has two
    NICs in it. If these don't help you probably want to post to the ISA
    newsgroup:

    1. Make sure the External NIC is using the Internal NIC IP Address as its
    Preferred DNS server. Remove any other DNS Servers that are not internal to
    your domain from the IP Properties.
    2. In the IP Properties > Advanced > DNS tab of the External NIC make sure
    "Register this connection's address in DNS" is Not checked.
    3. Under the WINS tab make sure "Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP" is selected.
    4. Under the Properties of the External connection make sure "Client for
    Microsoft Networks" and "File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks" are
    Not checked.
    5. Verify the Binding order of the NICs by selecting Advanced from the menu
    bar of the Network Connections window, choose Advanced Settings and make
    sure the Internal NIC is at the top of the Connections window.
    6. In dnsmgmt.msc right-click the servername, choose Properties and make
    sure you have Forwarders to your ISP DNS servers Enabled.
    7. On the Properties of the Internal NIC make sure it is looking to its own
    Internal NIC IP Address for Preferred DNS. Remove any other DNS Servers
    that are not internal to your domain.
    8. Click Advanced and under DNS tab make sure "Register this connection's
    address in DNS" is checked.
    9. Under the WINS tab make sure "Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP" is selected.
    10. Under the Properties of the Internal connection make sure "Client for
    Microsoft Networks" and "File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Netwroks" are
    checked.
    11. Click the Advanced tab when you are in the Properties of the Internal
    connection and make sure "Protect my computer and network by limiting or
    preventing access to this computer from the Internet" is Not checked on this
    NIC.
    12. Open Services.msc and verify the "TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper" services is
    Started and Automatic.
