Re: Ownership of copied files

Your report tells me that Administrators have full access
to the folder "E:\000-SigmaPrint-Transfer\2do\00Today".
When I ran a test similar to yours I found that the copied
file acquired the ACL settings of the target folder. This did not
seem to happen in your case. Why not? Probably because
inheritance is turned off for the target folder.

By the way, you should always give full access to the System
account. Right now it has no access at all.

Ran the information as requested.
On the file that came from the office PC and was unaltered, when the
command
was entered for the file it returned the statement "Access Denied".
I ran the cmd again on a file that I had just taken ownership of
(Microsoft
Forum text.txt) and it returned the following:

"E:\000-SigmaPrint-Transfer\2do\00Tod*"
E:\000-SigmaPrint-Transfer\2do\00Today NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM:F
BUILTIN\Administrators:F

E:\000-SigmaPrint-Transfer\2do\00Today\Microsoft Forum text.txt

AUTHORITY\SYSTEM:F
