Hi,
I am working on a friends computer who had problems with a couple of
things, i have now fixed these.
The problem i now have is whenever i boot up Windows XP i get 'this copy of
windows is not genuine' is shown on the log on screen. The edition of
Windows XP is 100% genuine. I have managed to remove the icon in the taskbar
on the desktop by deleting a couple of system 32 files but still get the
problem at the log on screen. Is there a way to get round or fix this so
this is not shown?
I have also tried to do a windows update, it is asking me to install activex
control, i click on install but it goes no further and will refresh the page
and continually will ask me to install activex control. Are these 2 problems
tied together?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Colin
