Right Click file - No properties option

Hello,

I have several files on an NFTS partition on a fileserver. Within on
eparticular folder, when I right click on a file to get the menu, I do not
see several of the menu options anymore. e.g. do not see rename, properties
etc.

Also, when I double-click on file, it doe snot open .

I have tried to re-apply permissions to folder and contents. No change. One
document in the folder is OK.

Any ideas?
.
