Re: permission/security issues

Hello sihfmis,

If you talk about domain users, also the Administrator is a domain user, so you kicked off yourself. Hopefully you have a recent backup then just rename the top level folder and restore the backup. Try with the advanced tab under security to take ownership of the folder and reset the permissions after that.

Best regards

I am having problems with permissions where I can not see the contents
of the directory anymore. Let me explain. I have a shared directory
setup for users that is for their home drive setting. The home drive
is setup through the user's profile too. At the time, the security
was full control w/administrator, create owner, system, & users, and
permissions were full control w/administrator & users. I set user
security to deny on all settings and now I can not see the directory’s
contents even with admin rights. What did I do wrong? I want the
admin right users to see the contents of the directory but no one else
except the user with the home settings. The problem I was seeing with
all permissions and security was users were seeing others users stuff
in the home drive. HELP!
