Hello John,
thank you for your reply, but i don't agree with you.
As you says, from 120GB I have actually 111,79.
From these 111GB, 85GB are in C partition.
Within C partition, i can find only 37GB of data, though when I go to
properties of particion c, windows shows that c has ~85GB and only 3GB are
free! So, 40GB are missing and this cannot be just this byte counting system.
As I wrote before, sequoia gives me this information about volume c:
Size: 81,6GB (41.630.603.089bytes).
Prease, repare the numbers: from 81GB->41... bytes!
I don't know wether this is a hardware or software problem. All tests on my
hard disk are ok...
Please, more suggestions!
Guilherme

Once you right size the disk (disk manucturers report a 120G Drive as 1000
is a KB. Disk tools report based on 1024 bytes is a KB.) It looks just
about right. The missing space is the Lenevco and Linux partitions.

Do you by any chance have Norton Undelete (or Executive Software, Symantic, etc)? Various undelete programs will consume huge amounts of disk space.
