Re: Securing a shared folder

Hello ktm99,

Remove authenticated users, everyone and domain users from the security tab and add only system and Administrators group with full control. Also place a $ behind the share name like share$, this hides the share for everyone, so you need to know the share name and can not find it.

Best regards

Is there a way to have a login prompt on a shared folder?

We currently have a shared folder with our software in it that we have
hidden. This allows us to install remotely. We are worried that
someone might figure this out and want to secure it with a login
prompt.
