W2003 Disk size limitation.

Hi
I have been trying to find some documentation on the disk size limitation in
W2003. But the info I have found so far is somewhat inconsistent.
This microsoft documentation states a hard limit of 2TB for the disk size.
(I know the limit for the volumes is somewhat different.):
http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/b51311b3-ec61-402e-96cd-986c89ef40eb1033.mspx?mfr=true
But the following indicates that this is maybe not the whole trouth:
http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1895613&SiteID=17
But I have not been able to find any microsoft documentation which supports
this statement.
Does anyone have a link to some microsoft documentation which explains if
and how one can increase the 2TB limitation of the disksize. (The size of one
LUN in a SAN).
Thanks in advance
Hans-Peter Harpøth
