I have a Windows 2003 server that I've created a share on. When I
copy a file into the share, it shows up as owned by "builtin/
administrators" instead of my username. (I have been added to the
administrators group on the server.) The server is a member of a
domain, and so is my username.
What do I need to do so that files copied to the share keep the actual
owner?
It depends on the copy method. xcopy.exe /o will copy ownership information.
