We have recently migrated our file server to new hardware and moved from
Windows 2003 to Windows 2003 Storage Server.
The hardware is a significant improvement as the old server was approx 5
years old.
We have noticed that we are getting slow performance when accessing files
and sometimes locking, particularly with PST's. I know that PST's are not
supported on file servers and we have a plan in place to remove them.
However, we were not getting any locking issues on the old file server
even
with PST's.
Can anyone shed any light on why we might be getting this issue?
