We are making a big change across our environment, by changing our primary
DFS Root to map with S: rather than T: (we had to remove another mapping,
first, so temporarily were using T:).
I have some users that have made various shortcuts to the T: drive, and, I
was wondering if there is some easy way to remotely change any shortcut
with
a "T:\" to an "S:\"?
I have SMS 2003 SP3, if that could be used...
Thanks!
A quick and dirty method would be to use a binary command line
editor to replace every occurrence of T:\ with S:\ in the .lnk files.
Since you're able to reach every user's home folder on his PC,
you can do it remotely. Remember to test this method on a test
machine before applying it globally.
