hi again,
just scanned with AVG and it came up with 'Trojan Horse Generic9.ahst'
which it found lying in C:\WINDOWS\system32\awtqp.dll
AVG is telling me that the virus is not healable, and that file is
infected.
I will try a scan with the link you sent me and see if anything different
occurs.
Guess i should just keep trying?
Regards again,
Tim

Scan your machine for viruses, preferably with an independent
virus scanner, e.g. http://us.trendmicro.com/us/home/home-user.
Look for "house call".
You should also report this rather essential detail: Does your
machine work or does it not?

I keep getting 2 error readings every time i start up windows XP
Service
pack 2
Both are telling me that it cannot find the following file in the
registry.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\awtqp.exe
Can anyone help please?
regards
Tim
I googled for "awtqp.exe" and got the impression that this file
is related to a virus.
