Hello,
Do you have a memory dump ?
If it's dell or othere manufacturer server, you may use their diagnostic CD to test the disk subsystem.
Did you try from a bartpe cd or windows cd (recovery console) ?
is the drive set to dirty ?
fsutil dirty query c:

Running Windows XP SP2... My system is running fine. No problems. But any attempt to do a CHKDSK causes the system to reboot at about 82 percent of Stage 1. I have tried this many times. And it always does it. Meanwhile my system is humming along nicely.
Please don't say my HD is about to fail because it isn't .. this has been going on for nearly 2 years now, and the result is always the same... system runs fine, but chkdsk crashes. Is there another program similar to chkdsk that actually works?
.
