Re: Windows 2003 File Permissions

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Also remember group membership does not take effect until the user logs off
and logs back on. If this "Office group" is a new group (or you've just
added the test user to the group) and you're testing with a user that was
already logged on, they will need to log off and log back on to get a new
authentication token that includes the group membership.

Hi,

I've got a Win2003 Server and having some problems with file permissions.

On Share Permissions, Everyone has Read rights and my Office group has
Full
Control, Change, and Read.

On Security, Users has Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, and Read.
The
Office group has Modify, Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read, and
Write permissions.

However, members of the Office group cannot delete or edit any files. No
one else has the file open.

I cannot figure out what the problem is.

Thanks,
Westley Annis
