I have XP Professional.
System info: C: Used space 11.5 GB, Free space 130 GB
D: Used space 6.06 GB, Free space 674 MB
When defraging D: system states I need at least 15% free space to carry
out defragmentation. PC came with only 9% allotted free space!
I have deleted/removed practically everything I can do without on C: yet
message still persists. Can anyone advise what action I should take to
get D: up to 15% free space?
Hope this end up on correct Discussion group (so confusing to choose which
option)
You can force defrag to run with less than 15% free with this command: defrag d: -f
You should ask yourself why it's important to do so first. Drive C has plenty or room, so why use drive D?
