This command worked fine
dir regedit.* {Enter}
The regedit.exe was displayed
regedit.exe {Enter}
When executed this command it gave me a message "The system
cannot find the file C:\WINNT\regedit.exe

Regarding specifying the default folder as winNT i really do not remember,
but i am sure it was not an upgrade from a Windows 2000 to Win 2003 SBS.

I am facing a dilemma with respect to your "regedit" question
because I cannot work out your level of experience. If I formulate
my answer so that a server administrator can understand it then
you may not understand what I'm talking about. If I formulate
it so that it can be understood by a beginner then you may be
irritated because of the level of detail it contains. You imply
that you are a server administrator yet your questions suggest
that you have no experience with command execution mechanisms.

is WINNT and not windows. I have SBS installed on my server and when i
browse
the WINNT directory Regedit.exe is existing but when i double click on
it
to
open it it gives me the error "Windows cannot find 'regedit'", the same
error
appears when i try opening regedit from the command prompt or from
Start -->
Run --> Regedit.

What could be the cause that the Default directory changed from Windows
to
WINNT.

The primary cause is most likely that you're looking in the
wrong place. The default Windows folder for SBS2003
is c:\Windows, not c:\WinNT. Next you should look at
your path but then you probably know this already, seeing
that you are a server administrator.
