It's perhaps time to change your approach. In a robust
environment one keeps all installation media with a view of
re-installing the lot at a future date. Whenever I download
some tool or program then I save the downloaded file in
a suitably named folder and add the basic download details
to a text file, e.g. Name, Purpose, Date, URL.

Definitely not what I was looking to hear, but Thanks. I'm sure I havemost
but know that I don't have all of the original media. Too much moving and
storage.
but again, Thanks

My win2k system crashed. I recovered 103gig out of 130gig. Can Icopy
reinstall
win2k and then copy the recovered data (excluding windows dir) and then
the registry files into windows\system32\config? I should probably
restate
the last question because I am sure that I can do it, but will it allow
me
to run my old programs?
Thanks
Scott
This is very unlikely to work. Your best bet is to re-install
your old programs from the original media.
