A customer has complained that the write permissions on a file are denied
after they have set the permission to allow.

We ran a test to create a new folder and give all access to everyone and
they were able to write to the file, but then right afterwards were denied
again.

Is there a way that Windows 2003 is using user/group permissions to deny
rights that are propagating through the system such that when the folder
is
first created it would not work some time later?

What setting could they possibly have some setting that we do not know
about
and they do not remember that would cause this type of behavior?

Regards,

Run cacls.exe "d:\Your Folder" and post the output. You must also
state which user is denied access.

Did you set the share permissions to "Full access for everyone"?
