Lots more info:
server name is corpfile11, it pings.
It is correctly loaded in my dns cache, and my WINS cache.
If I do a
net view \\corpfile11, I get no entries in the list,
net view \\corpfile11.myDomain.com I get the full list of shares,
net view \\192.168.76.XX I get the full list of shares. (XX being the
correct numbers of course)
Executing nbtstat -R does not help.
nbtstat -c shows the correct names to ip address table.
In fact, I am doing packet captures now, and I can see the above tests that
work leaving the NIC, but I can't see the failed tests resulting in any
packets being sent/recieved.

All -queries.
I have several servers (Win2k3SP1) with shares on them that occasionally
become inaccessible from
a particular Windows XP (SP1 or SP2) client.
For that client, it is as if the server is not sharing any folders. From
any other client, even with the same user logged in, the shares show up
fine. The server still pings, and, shows up in both DNS and WINS
No events show up in either client or server event log.
The fix is to reboot the client.
Has anyone seen this?

What exactly happens when you open a Command Prompt
and run this command on the client:
net use S: \\YourServer\SomeShare
.
