Not sure what the net use does, I will check as soon as I replicate the
problem on my machine.
"net view" gives me no errors, and "no entries in the list" as the return
value.

All -queries.
I have several servers (Win2k3SP1) with shares on them that occasionally
become inaccessible from
a particular Windows XP (SP1 or SP2) client.
For that client, it is as if the server is not sharing any folders. From
any other client, even with the same user logged in, the shares show up
fine. The server still pings, and, shows up in both DNS and WINS
No events show up in either client or server event log.
The fix is to reboot the client.
Has anyone seen this?

What exactly happens when you open a Command Prompt
and run this command on the client:
net use S: \\YourServer\SomeShare
.
