Some time ago I re-formatted my hard disk and restored using Novastor"System
State" backup. Under Documents and Settings I now find I have :-in
Administrator.
Administrator with detail contained in the computer name.
All Users.
Default User.
Guest.
Michael which is where I have all of my data.
I am the only user "Michael" of the computer and suspect I have restored
the wrong place. How can I clean up these Folders without messing up theXP
Home system?
Do I really need an Adminstrator and if so which one is the correct one?

The folders you refer to are profile folders. They contain your
data files and your various settings. To find out which admin profile
folder is the current one, do this:
- Log on as Administrator
- Start a Command Prompt (Start / Run / cmd {OK})
- Type this command: Set UserProfile {Enter}
This will show you your current profile folder. If you like
then you can rename the unwanted profile folder, then delete
it one week alter if all is well.
And just because you have two profile folders does NOT
mean that you have two administrator accounts. You don't!
