We have "SERVER A" (Windows Server 2003) attached to a SAN and sharing out
drives.
We have "SERVER B" (Windows Server 2003) that we want to see the shared
drives from "SERVER A" so that they can be shared to domain users.
We do not want "SERVER B" to be logged in, as any user, all the time.
Both servers are members of the same domain.
If no one is logged into "SERVER A", "SERVER B" can still see the drives
when a user is logged into "SERVER B".
If no one is logged into "SERVER A" or "SERVER B" then a domain user
cannot
see the shared drives on "SERVER B".
How can we make "SERVER B" see the shared drives from "SERVER A" when no
one
is logged in to "SERVER B"?
Access rights to shares are granted to individual accounts.
When nobody is logged in there is no account, hence no
access rights!
You must make the two servers members of the same
domain in order to establish a proper trust relationship.
