Read-only attribute of a XP Pro folder

Just found out that all the folders in my computer have the "read-Only"
attribute checked. De-selecting the attribute still showed the
attribute checked after re-clicking the folders.

How do I de-select these "Read-Only" attributes? I have four users in
the "User Accounts" icon of the Control Panel. Is there an Admin
user/role for XP Pro?

TIA,
Jeffrey
