Re: Fixboot damaged my partition table. Help?

I had assumed the drive had not failed since I was able to see/access/copy
all files from both partitions using Knoppix before running FIXBOOT. Is this
an incorrect interpretation? I'll try finding diagnostics from the
manufacturer to verify my assumption. So, I should have pressed CTRL-C while
fixboot was running? Sounds dangerous to me. Fixboot didn't prompt or pause
at any point to sugest that I could abort or cancel. Regardless, I'm still
stuck with a bum partition.
