Try using the native XCOPY utiltiy from a command window. If you type XCOPY
/help you will get a list of switches and information on how to use it.
It has alwasy been my experience that XCOPY is a much faster and more robust
option for copying large amounts of data between HDs and systems. It also
offers some error protection and interruption resume support. Which is MUCH
better than the explorer window option.
There are also some commercial programs available that take the XCOPY
concept a bit further. But XCOPY is free and on every Windows system (XP,
NT, 2003, etc..)
