Running Windows 2000 Server (SP4)
We had a folder, including sub-folders and many files become corrupt. We
could not change permissions, ownership, open or delete any of the files or
folders.
To check for errors, we ran chkdsk. We wanted to just get an idea of any
problems before making any changes, so we can it in read-only mode to begin
with. It errors out with the following message:
Deleting an index entry from index $0 of file 4844.
An unspecified error occurred.
If anyone has any ideas or any insight to this problem please let me know.
Thanks!
