Can't Add or Remove Permissions to a Share That I Own

OK, this one has the entire staff perplexed. I have admin (full)rights on a
folder on our file server. I am part of the admin group assigned to the
folder and was also explicity added by name. Problem is that the Add and
Remove buttons on the security tab are grayed-out! When network admin
created a new folder on the server and gave me full ownership, they were
still grayed-out.
This is not a workstation specific problem either. Network admin even
deleted my entire account and recreated me...still same problem. I can
control the local drive on any workstation, just not the network shares.
Any ideas would be most helpful. I can't perform my duties while this
problem continues.
Thanks in advance,
Kevin
