Access Denied to Home Directories

Friends,

I work at a small private school. We have a single server
running Windows Server 2003 Standard. All of the
workstations that the students use are running Windows XP
Professional with Service Pack 2 installed.

Each student's account is set up to use the V:\ drive as
their home directory and to map it to their specific home
directory on the server. There is a directory for each
student, and each student -- and only that student -- has
Full Control access rights over that directory.

For most of the students, this works just fine. But we
have three accounts who are being denied write access to
their home directories. They can view the directories, but
any attempt to create files or folders produces an "Access
Denied" error message. I have checked both the settings on
their acconts and the security settings on their home
directories, and all appears correct.

I should note, BTW, that these were three accounts that I
believe were either created or modified manually, whereas
most accounts were created using a scripted batch file and
the dsadd command. But I can find no differences in
settings between these three accounts and any other
accounts.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
