If you have XP Pro, you can store them under Manage My Network
Passwords under your user account in Control Panel...

I'm having the same problem. It's the 6.0 version of Remote Desktop.
Connection client that's included in two of my laptops running XP Pro.
Version 5.1 allows credentials to be saved, but I can't get the same behavior
out of 6.0. It must be a setting on my local machines, because "You will be
asked for credentials when you connect." shows up in place of the Password
and Domain fields as soon as I open a new connection. Is there a way to
allow credentials to be saved in 6.0? If not, is there a way to remove the
new version & install 5.1?

A user came to me today and asked my why when he logs in with his remote
desktop, he's being asked for username and password. When I go into his
options on his RED, under the general tab, I see:
User name: (none)
You will be asked for credentials when you connect.
Is there any way for me to deactivate this and activate it the way it was
before when all he had to was enter his password?
Thanks.
