Hi all,
I have a problem and can't figure out what I need to do.
I have a laptop that has Vista Home Premium and a desktop running WIN
XP Pro.
I can run the RDC to connect from the Vista to the WIN XP but I can
not see the drives on either side. I have set the C and D drives to
share and still can not see.
The computers are connected to a Linksys Router WRT54G, they both
have a firewall. The Vista is running Symantec's and my desktop (WIN
XP) is running PC Tools. I have even gone so far as to turn the
firewall's off with no luck.
IF anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I want to
secure my whole system, but won't try until I can see the drives back
between both computers.

I want to thank you both for all your help. I am now able to see the
desktop (XP) on my laptop (VISTA), but I can not see the laptop on my
desktop.
Any suggestions? Al your response to Taibear was very helpful, I went
back an rechecked the settings for the RDC advance tab and found they
were not correctly set.
So, now the only possible problem I have left is seeing the laptop
drives/folders on my desktop.
