Hi all,
I have a problem and can't figure out what I need to do.
I have a laptop that has Vista Home Premium and a desktop running WIN
XP Pro.
I can run the RDC to connect from the Vista to the WIN XP but I can
not see the drives on either side. I have set the C and D drives to
share and still can not see.
The computers are connected to a Linksys Router WRT54G, they both
have a firewall. The Vista is running Symantec's and my desktop (WIN
XP) is running PC Tools. I have even gone so far as to turn the
firewall's off with no luck.
IF anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I want to
secure my whole system, but won't try until I can see the drives back
between both computers.

You mean you can't see the local and remote drives when your in a Remote
Desktop session or you can't see remote shared drives in network explorer?
When I connect RDC from the laptop to the desktop, I can not go to My
Computer on either one and see the other PC's/Laptop drives.
When I connect from my office, out of the house, to my home desktop, I
can see the drives on both computers when I go to My Computer.
When I connect Laptop to PC or reverse PC to Laptop I can not do any
copy or paste in either direction like I can when I connect from my
office computer. I really think it has something to do with the VISTA,
but I can not figure it out.
How you been do Al?
