Use ipconfig find out the IP address. On client computer, for example XP,
type this command net view "\\remotepcipaddress" (remote pcipaddress is
Vista ip address in this case). You may receive the system error and code.
post them back.

Bob,
I am not sure what you are asking me. I know enough networking to get
into trouble and very little about Vista. I can ping both ways with
computers, but I can not see any files, folders or drives that I have
setup for sharing. I should have also mentioned that both the desktop
and the laptop, although connected to Linksys, are both in the house
and not trying to connect from outside the local area.
If I connect from my work office to the home computer with the RDC, I
can see all drives and move files between the two units. Both units
are WIN XP Pro. Where as the home units are VISTA and WIN XP Pro.
