I also replace memory thinking it is a memory issue but that did not fix.
Network card is built into motherboard so I have not replace that.

I removed Netbios as per Microsoft for Event code 7022. No effect. I get
SVSHOST error on boot. I tried to install Norton 2008 and for unknown
reason
computer started to shutdown after starting. Also, I noticed that
Norton
is
completely removed.

I have been down for a week and tried everything but not working.
Desktop computer Widnows XP Media Center
When I start my computer - I get error messages
SVSHOST application error
The instruction at 0x76e5f44c at 0x1abfec0. The memory could not be
written.
Click ok to terminate program. Click cancel to debug the program.
After I click ok, I get login screen.
When I try to RDP to my desktop from my notebook, sometimes I get
RDP
connection on my notebook but it has blank screen only. Most of the
times
I
get Remote Computer anavailable message.
I have noticed that several of mys ervices are not working on the
desktop
and generate same error when I tried to go into services and add it
manually.
One of the services is workstation. I am not sure if it needed for
RDP
or
not. I wish there was a clear technet or other help to see what
services
you
need working for RDP. I also noticed that server services are not
starting
and as a result my drive sharing is not working. After manually
starting
it,
my drive sharing is working fine.
I have ran regcure but it dose not fix anything as advertise by
regcure. I
think that program makes it worst then cures the problem/
I tried to run setup network wizard but it fais with same svshost
application error and freezes computer. I have to then shut the
power
off
and
restart.
At the desktop, if I tried to view workgroup - I get a beep and no
message
and can't see workgroup.
I appreciate a direction to fix this problem or site where I can get
information on what services are needed.
