Hi Sooner,
I updated the remote desktop software from the link you had suggested before
though the error persists. Now i get a different error message but i guess it
amounts to the same thing;

Hi Sooner,Well, if you can't connect from another local PC on your work LAN then the
I cannot conect to my work PC using any other PC on the work LAN AND i get
a
different error message that is practically a one liner saying that i
encountered a network error and that i should try again. BUT, if i try
something like \\computername or IP\C$ or any other folder, i can connect
to
those folders on my work PC and access files there. In addition, i can
also
do this using my laptop. Also, i can use netmeeting to connect and use my
work machine but then it is a little slow and i do not have complete
functionality.
I have not tried to connect to the WORK pc using a vpn tunnel from another
laptop but i will try and do that as well.
Any other suggestions/ thoughts that you think might help?
issue is on the target PC. Are you running any software firewall on the PC
or something like NAV worm protection or MS OneCare Live? Something is
blocking incoming Remote Desktop requests on that PC.
