Re: Remote Desktop Connection not working on some IP addresses

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Try the windows clean boot instead of safe mode and turn off the windows firewall. Try to ping the computer self with -a like this ping -a 192.168.150.150. and then from remote computer do the same ping. Also post the result of ipconfig /all may help.

This leads me to believe that it might have been something to do with the
most recent windows update which was last Tuesday.

Let's see what Robert L or anyone else can say that might help.

I am still wanting to know why I can not even ping the machine - if I can
fix this, then hopefully Remote Desktop Connection will work.

Robert: any thouhgts from my previous post and this one?
