Does anyone know if it's possible to create some sort of shortcut (maybe on
the desktop) to create a Remote Invitation? I need any easy way for our users
to be able to send me an invitation because many of them are new to computers
and walking them through the Remote Asstance steps doesn't always work. And
I'd rather use Remote Assistance (instead of Remote Desktop) because I want
them to be able to see what I'm clicking on as I "teach" them how to user
their computers.

In a perfect world, I would love this shortcut to create the invitation,
fill in my email address and send it without the user having to do anything.

On a small local network this works...

It works through a VPN tunnel also, at least in a short test I ran a few years ago...

Note that in a large environment this could get rather cumbersome though. In that case you probably are better off simply creating a step-by-step procedure the user could easily access and implement.

I forgot to add that if your in a domain/trusted domain environment you can use the Remote Assistance "offer" functionality. That may work for you...

Otherwise open "Help and Support" and search on the string 'offer remote assistance' for help.
