RDS disconnects when the Start button is clicked

I am having a problem working remotely using Remote Desktop Sharing.
Anytime I click the Start button, I get a message that reads "Because of a
protocol error the session is being disconnected....".

Not sure what is going on, but any help would be appreciated. It makes it
difficult to start a new program!!!
