Thank you but that has nothing to do with what I am doing.

My printers were randomly showing up and at times refusing to install despite being listed in the active directory. In my case the problem was related to renaming my computer.
I had a mobo failure so I rebuilt the computer and re-installed Windows XP. I gave the computer the same name it had under the old motherboard. After doing so I could list my printers in the active directory but no one could install them or even view their properties. Shutting off my firewalls made no difference. On a hunch, I tried deleting the computer name from the server directory. I expected it to discover the computer on next login and re-add it. It refused to do so. I renamed the computer and everything got happy again - no more printer problems.

On the local PC, we have a network printer that is connected via a standard tcp/ip port along with a few other printers. We have the RDP client setup to allow the remote client to print to the local printers. However, only sometimes does the local printer show up on the remote machine. Also, never does the local network printer shoe up on the remote machine.
That said, sometimes the ts000X printer ports will show as active. In that situation, we can setup the proper print driver and play a guessing game until we find the proper ts000X port. Durring that session, printing works fine. However, on the next connect, the TS ports may be disconnected or re-arranged, even when the client only has one printer.
Any suggestions would be apriciated. Thank you.
