How to log off when the system is freezed.

Maybe this problem is a specific problem to the remote PCs I use. When
I log on remotely using my credentials(not an administror), right
clicking in Windows Explorer hangs the system. If I kill the
verclsid.exe (I don't remember exactly) then it usually gets back. But
sometimes the entire system hangs so that I cannot start the task
manager. The only choice I can choose is to close the remote desktop
window. But the problem is that I'm still logged on the remote pc.
Then I reconnect the remote pc, it shows the log in dialog (thus the
remote pc is not down), and when I log on, it continues showing the
hanging screen. I cannot log off. It seems like only administrators
force other users to log off. But can't I force myself to log off?
The bottom line is: Is there a way to log off without clicking the log
off button when the system is hanging?
