Re: Can't hear sounds via Remote desktop

I think this is a flaky capability of Remote Desktop Connection.
With the exact same connection settings I have found that, sometimes, the
sounds are brought to the client PC; on other occasions (different
sessions), the sounds remain at the host PC. On one occasion, I found that
the sounds were originally left at the host PC and then migrated to the
client PC in the same session. These tests were all conducted on 2 PCs in
proximity to one another on the same subnet (no firewalls or other potential
hindrances involved).
I think the first 3 "commercial" releases of any Microsoft product should
really be considered as "technology previews" and we should not have such
high expectations of them.

wUnable to hear sounds generated by remote system; I am sure I used to,
can't
now and can't figure what has changed. Connected to a dedicated
workstation
at another site. Can enter cpanel on that machine, but whenever I raise
the
volume control for the Microsoft RDP Audio driver, it always goes back to
low
on clicking 'apply.' Playing sounds from cpanel generates "Windows cannot
play the %SystemRoot%\medic\Windows XP Error.wav file" (for example).
Would
like to hear audio prompts from remote system. Help!
