Remote desktop install on XP pro terminates saying a version is already existing

While trying to install Remote desktop client on my XP professional, it
terminates saying a built in version already exists. Access it through
All Programs/Accessories/Communication/Remote Desktop... But this menu
item does not exist on this machine under any user profile.

Please help..
