ok, on my laptop when i go to windows systems properties then click remote
everything shows up nice with the remote assistance and the remote desktop on
the bottom. on my desktop remote desktop is not there, just the remote
assistance. so there is no way for me to allow it. whats wrong? how do i get
it back? im using xp home edition sp2 if that helps, thanks

If your PC is running XP Home you need to use a third-party application like
VNC (any flavor). I recommend UltraVNC. Get the UltraVNC host/server,
client, encryption plug-in and XP video driver (to be installed on the
UltraVNC XP host/server only) from...

http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/
http://www.realvnc.com/faq.html#firewall

The bottom line is that XP Home can *NOT* be a Remote Desktop host...
